Hi everyone,

Please find, below, our coaching roster for the 2023/24 season. There will likely be some additions to this team, and maybe some movement, but we think that this is a strong team across the board, with some great leadership at all age groups.

As always, we will be delivering for all of our Sheffield ice hockey players clear pathways for our athletes to develop, from juniors to seniors, for kids that want to enjoy the sport and for elite players with the highest ambitions. (Watch this space for announcements soon related to this.)

NB: we are waiting to confirm a 12Bs coach until the EIHA have published their expected rule changes for that age group next year. I appreciate that this isn’t ideal for players and parents at that age, but when we know the rules of competition we will work with Martin White to do the best for all players in that age group.

I would like to say some thank yous:

Thank you, as always, to all of our coaches who have offered (again) to lead our teams and club next year. None of what we do would be possible without their hard work and commitment.

Thank you to all the players and parents for your patience. This list is being released later than we would normally like. This is due only to the transfer of responsibilities, from Martyn to me; in future years, we will be publishing these lists more in advance of trials.

And finally, a thank you from me, from us all, once again, to Martyn Etheridge, who is stepping down as Head Coach after many years of terrific service. Martyn took on a very difficult job and set us on a path to success that we will still be following. He continues to be fantastically supportive of me and the new coaching team, and all of Sheffield Ice Hockey Academy.
